Types of Adaptive Gear
Propulsion Aids: Hand fins (worn on wrists for propulsion), specialized large fins for above-knee amputees, and webbed gloves for increased arm power.
Buoyancy Control: Backplate and wing BCD systems are often favored for better trim and easier entry/exit, especially for paraplegic divers.
Exposure Suits: Custom wetsuits and drysuits ensure proper fit and function for unique body shapes.
Masks: Low-volume masks are easier to clear, and full-face masks can be used for communication or cold water.
Weight Systems: Integrated weight systems help with balance.
